Nokia 3220 SetUp as a Modem

Hi friends i am amrish sharma right now with a new Topic


I want to tell you a experiece of setting my nokia 3220 as a modem ,
I am using airtel sim card in india ,i got a dku 5 Serial cable from somewhere
and now i want to connect to internet through this cable first i installed
nokia pc suite latest version after installation i restarted my pc and connected datacable then
i gone to control panel->phone and modem->modem tab->add button then a add new hardware wizard pops up
check on dont detect my modem press next after 5 to 10 secs, there are two types manufacture,nokia
select the nokia check there is 3220 cable modem if there is not, dont worry check there is pc connectivity bluetooth modem select it and press next there is a option of select port select com1 port and press next if you are using ca 42 cable try it also it may work but in dku 5 it works fine then go to properties of your browser
ex(internet explorer 6 or 7) click the connection tab and press setup botton select connect to internet and press next then select set up my connection manually press next then select connect using dialup press next then isp name airtel press next then ph.no type there *99***1# and next then type username and password and finish now connect ur phone to datacable and click the shortcut of dialup connction
note(nokia connection manager uncheck all fields before connecting to internet)thanks
